Warning Signs of High Blood Pressure
The following symptoms may occur if your blood pressure is extremely high:
- severe headache
- nosebleed
- fatigue or confusion
- vision problems
- chest pain
- difficulty breathing
- irregular heartbeat
- blood in the urine
- pounding in the chest, neck or ears
It is best to see a doctor immediately if you experience any of the above symptoms as you may be having a hypertensive crisis that can lead to a heart attack or stroke, or you may have another serious health condition.
Even adults with normal blood pressure should get their blood pressure checked regularly. Know your blood pressure numbers and make changes that matter to protect your health.
