Staying Active at Home

Did you know that sedentary behavior increases your risk of catching chronic diseases? Break the habit of sitting for hours despite the need to be in front of the computer all day. Here are a few activities you can do to get moving.

Half-time stretches. Every 30 to 60 minutes, take a break to get up from where you are sitting and stretch. You can also walk around or do a few chores around your house.

Leg workout while getting ready. Try brushing your teeth or putting your makeup on while doing squats or leg raises. It can actually be done.

Walk and talk.During your calls, why not walk around your room or pace back and forth? For some people, walking while talking helps them in keeping their focus.

Couch potato no more. You can still binge-watch television shows but push yourself to move around. Avoid slouching for too long on the couch. Maybe you can do a brief workout during commercials or right after finishing a drama episode.
